Why a Photo Beats a Form
A contact form asks you to describe a stump in words. One photograph answers diameter at the flare, how the machine gets in, what stands within six feet, how the ground slopes and often what species it is, all at once, and it answers them without you having to know the vocabulary.
What makes a useful photo is distance. Stand six or eight feet back so the route in is visible behind the stump, then take one more close up with a shovel or a five-gallon bucket next to it. Include everything you want ground, not just the biggest one, and count the small ones under the leaves.
The two sentences worth adding: your street or subdivision, and whether anything is going into that spot afterward. Those two change the price more than anything else you could tell us.
What Happens After You Send It
On a weekday you usually have a number within a couple of hours. Not a range, and not a starting point. If we need something before we can commit, we ask a short list rather than a questionnaire: how wide is your narrowest gate, is there irrigation or invisible fence in that part of the yard, and are you up on the ridge or down in the bottoms.
Say yes and we file the Tennessee One-Call ticket the same day. Marks land inside seventy-two hours, and the date follows from that: three to five working days for routine grinding, same or next day for anything leaning, blocking a drive or left over from a storm.
You pay when the job is done and the ground is raked, not before.
When We Answer and When We Do Not
Most of the day there is a machine running, so a text gets a faster reply than a call. If you ring and it goes to voicemail, leave the address and what it is, or better, send the photo straight after. We work back through messages between jobs and again once the trailer is loaded for the night.
Storm days are the exception to all of it. When a line has gone through Sumner County the phone runs hot and we prioritise anything leaning on a house, a car or a power service over everything else, including jobs already booked. If that ever means moving your date we call you, we do not just fail to show up.
If a tree is on a live power line, that is not a call for us. Ring the utility first, then us.

You can call, and we will happily talk through the job, but the number comes after we see a picture. How quickly can somebody come out?
For routine grinding, three to five working days, and most of that wait is the utility locate rather than our schedule. Anything leaning, storm-pushed or blocking access gets same or next day. If you are on a tight deadline for a closing or a fence install, say the date and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Do you take card, or is it cash and check only?
Card, cash or check, and payment happens after the job is finished and you have looked at the ground. There is no deposit for a standard residential grind. On larger multi-stump or commercial work we will discuss terms up front, in writing, before anything is scheduled.
