Why This Page Is Empty
Open any other stump grinding site in Middle Tennessee today and you will find a wall of five-star quotes attributed to a first name and a last initial. Some of those are real. On a site that went live last month, none of them are, because a company that has not worked yet has nothing for a customer to have thought about.
We would rather this page look thin for a year. When reviews do exist they will sit on Google, where you can see the account that wrote it, the date it was posted, whether the person has reviewed anything else, and what we said back. A quote typed into a box on our own website is a sentence we wrote about ourselves, and no amount of star graphics changes that.
The Promise, in Concrete Terms
The quoted figure is the figure on the invoice. If something turns up that the photographs could not show, a slab of limestone under the flare or a second stump the ivy was hiding, the machine stops and you get a phone call before any number changes. Not afterward.
Depth gets agreed in inches before we start and it is measured, not judged by eye. Backfill goes in tamped in layers, so the spot is level next spring rather than a saucer full of standing water. On species that regrow from root material, we grind wide of the flare rather than just taking the trunk, and if a sucker pushes up inside the footprint we ground within twelve months, we come back and take it out at no charge.
And if we break something, chip a walkway, catch a downspout, mark a fence, you will hear it from us before you find it. That one costs a company more than the repair does, which is exactly why it is worth writing down.
How Real Reviews Will Get Collected
After a job is done and a rain or two has passed, so you can actually see how the backfill settled, you get one message asking for a review. One. There is no drip sequence behind it and no second reminder.
We are not going to pick which customers get asked based on how the day went, and we are not going to offer money off for a review. Paying for reviews breaks Google's rules and, more to the point, it makes the review useless to the next person standing where you are now, trying to work out who to call.
If something was not right, we would rather hear it directly and come back and fix it than read it later. But that is a preference, not a condition attached to the ask.
What to Ask Any Stump Grinder, Including Us
Reviews are one signal and not the strongest one. These questions separate operators faster than a star rating does, and we would rather you put them to us than skip them.
Is the price fixed or hourly, and if hourly, what happens when the wheel hits rock? What depth below grade, in inches, and does that change if a tree is going back in the same spot? Is hauling the surplus grindings included or extra, and how is extra calculated? Who files the Tennessee One-Call ticket, and how many days before the work? Do you carry liability insurance, and what is the amount?
An outfit that answers all five without hedging is worth more than a page of anonymous praise. One that gets vague on the third question is telling you where your bill is going to grow.

You are new. Why should I take the risk?
Because the risk is smaller than it looks and the terms are in writing above. The price is fixed before we arrive, you owe nothing until the work is finished, and grinding is a same-day job you can inspect while we are still on your street. A new company also has calendar space, which is why a routine grind here books in three to five working days.
Will you show me jobs you have already done?
Yes, on the gallery page, and it fills in as work finishes rather than opening with a folder of purchased images. If you want to see something specific, a lake lot, a tight side yard, a big hardwood, ask and we will send what we have. If we have not done one like yours yet, we will say that instead of sending you somebody else's photograph.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, and we will send the certificate before we come out if you ask. It is a fair question for anyone bringing a machine with a spinning carbide wheel onto your property, and any operator who gets evasive about it has answered a different question than the one you asked.
What if I am not happy with the finished ground?
Call before we leave the street if you can, because most of it is fixable in ten minutes: more backfill, chips raked further out, a root chased another foot. If you find it later, tell us and we come back. We would rather spend an hour returning than have the first review of this company be an accurate complaint.
